Vandit Bhatt is delighted to be a part of this production. Past roles include (Tupolski) in The Pillowman, (Mat) in Red Light Winter and (Don Juan) in Don Juan Comes Back From The War. Regional Credits include: Connecticut Repertory Theater; Hair (Jeanie), Loves Labours Lost (Maria), ThreePenny Opera (Molly),  North Shore Fish (Arlyne), Cabaret and Restoration Comedy.  Ivoryton Playhouse; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  Rebecca is a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut BFA Acting Program.  She has studied at Michael Howard Studio and Central School of Speech and Drama in London.  She is thrilled to be a part of the Inwood Shakespeare Festival's Merchant of Venice.

Leo Giannopoulos is a graduate of Salem State College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a concentration in Theatre Performance.  Past roles include (Mercutio) in Inwood Shakespeare Festival's Romeo and Juliet, (Amiens) As You Like It with the Hudson Valley Players,  (Malcolm) Macbeth, and (Young Edgar) in Life...Edgar Allen Poe with Castle Shakespeare Rep. etc.  Leo would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him all these years.

ANTONIO'S SERVANT / ENSEMBLE:

Emily previously worked on Inwood Shakespeare Festival's production of Romeo and Juliet, and has a previous NYC theatre credit with the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Other credits include lead roles in Bye, Bye Birdie and A Chorus Line, and the Paper Rain Laboratory Theatre in New Paltz, NY. She will be a senior Theatre Arts Performance major at SUNY New Paltz this fall. Thanks to all who support me in following my dreams!

SHYLOCK:

Elliott is pleased to be making his Inwood Shakespeare Festival debut. He was last seen as (Jack) in joint productions of Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound produced with a grant from CT Culture and Tourism. NY credits include: Laughter on the 23^rd Floor (Ira), The Odd Couple (Murray), The Dreamer Examines his Pillow (Daddy), and the 80 yr old (Herbert) in I’m Herbert. Regional credits include:  Prisoner of Second Ave. (Mel), Lil Abner (Marryin’ Sam), Kiss me Kate (2^nd Gangster), the outdoor drama .Tecumseh (Tenskwatawa), That Championship Season (Phil), Everything in the Garden (Richard), 5^th of July (Ken), and A Doll’s House (Krogstad). On TV-Elliott has been seen in numerous roles on Guiding Light, All My Children, and As the World Turns. Also on TV; Law & Order, and a Barry Sonnenfeld pilot, Play or be Played. Elliott is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Atlantic Theater.  Also, Elliott recently started his own company Thespis-providing resources to the NYC professional actor at www.thespis-nyc.com Thanks to Doug Taylor and the Saturday gang. SOLANIO / OLD-GOBBO:

Sean has been performing in and around the New York area for three years.  He splits his time between artistic endeavors (acting, writing and filmmaking) and teaching students with special needs in the Bronx.  He is a regular cast member of the New York Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, NY, where, this summer he will be performing as the Spanish Ambassador.  Sean's favorite credits include (Heck Tate) in To Kill a Mockingbird and (Teddy) in Arsenic and Old Lace.

NERISSA:

This is Jodie's third time playing a woman dressing up like a man after regionally playing (Rosalind) in As You Like It and (Viola) in Twelfth Night. She is thrilled to be performing Shakespeare in a New York park again this summer, after playing (Juliet) with Holla Holla Productions at Clinton Cove Park last summer. She regularly performs at Manhattan Children's Theatre and was the warm-up comedian for The Late Show with David Letterman in 2008. BA Theatre from Fairfield University.

THE DUKE / STEPHANIO / ENSEMBLE:

Theatrical productions include:  Hamlet, The Tragical History of Dr. Faustus, A Christmas Carol and Safety First.  Film productions include:  Statue of David, Sublet and Cain’s Mark.  Television productions include: High School Stories and TV Land 10^th Anniversary Promo. bASSINIO:

Christopher is thrilled to be a part of The Inwood Shakespeare Festival's tenth season.  Recent New York credits include (Horatio) in Hamlet - Gorilla Rep, (Sebastian) in Twelfth Night - Hip to Hip Productions, and (Leo) in Big Love - Columbia MFA Stage.  Chris has  also performed as a resident company member at The American Shakespeare Center and The Barter Theatre.  A proud member of AEA and the SAFD, Chris received his BA from the university of north Carolina- chapel hill.  "Act well your part, there all the honor lies."

Anna Marie is happy to make her Inwood debut.  Recently in NYC, she performed Timor Mortis with Conflict of Interest and The Tamer Tamed with Misfit Toys Repertory.  Regional credits include Cyrano de Bergerac, Midsummer, and Julius Caesar at the American Shakespeare Center; The Sound of Music and Pippin at the Cumberland Theatre; Shadow of the Raven (world premiere) at the Wayside Theatre. Favorites include: Caucasian Chalk Circle (Azdak), Romeo and Juliet (Mercutio). Kennedy Center Irene Ryan Award nominee and a Kennedy Center Meritorious Achievement Award recipient. Attended The University of Utah Actor Training Program and Interlochen Arts Academy.

Daniel Vidor is a native of Baltimore, Maryland where he received his B.F.A in acting from UMBC. Past productions in Baltimore included The Bald Soprano, Action, The Ubu Plays, Silence Cunning Exile, Twelfth Night, and The Tempest. He can also be seen in the 28th street films' production of Book of Lore. In New York City he has been in Bardolotry, Under Milk Wood, done a staged reading of Burden Me and is an active member of The Rising Sun Performance Company. He is very excited to be a part of The Merchant of Venice with Moose Hall Theater. Thank you to all of my friends, family, and teachers for their constant support.

For Inwood Shakespeare Festival 2008; (Sergeant Gonzales) in The Curse of Capistrano - El Zorro!, (Lord Capulet) in Romeo & Juliet. 2006 Frank portrayed (Clopin Trouillefou-King of Thieves) in The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. 2005; (Monsier de Tréville & Executioner of Lilly) in The Three Musketeers. 2004 for ISF; (Town Crier and Aladdin's Jinni) in Arabian Nights, An Offering of Magic & Hope. In 2003 he portrayed (Captain Flint) in Treasure Island.  In 2002 as (the Soldier) in ISF's La Vida Es Sueno (en español) and in The Merry Wives of Windsor as (Sir John Falstaff). He was heard as two voices of the quartet in a sung prologue for Romeo & Juliet and was also seen or not seen, as the Ghost in Hamlet at Expanded Arts. He appeared in ISF's 2001 production of Macbeth and was in ISF's production of An Evening At The RING Garden.

ASSISTANt DIRECTOR:

Chaya is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Michigan State University, a director, an Equity actor, and holds an MFA in Performance Pedagogy from the University of Pittsburgh. Directing credits include Cymbeline, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Snapshot, and The Seven Deadly Sins. Past acting roles with Inwood Shakespeare Festival include (Puck) in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and (Corporal Nym and the Constable of France) in Henry V.

Ted [for Ted Williams, may he rest in peace], is a native of Boston raised in Everett, Massachusetts and 24 year resident of Inwood. He is founder and producing artistic director of Moose Hall Theatre Company and Inwood Shakespeare Festival.

Projects produced and directed for  ISF: Romeo & Juliet, Julius Caesar, Much Ado About Nothing, Henry V, The Taming Of The Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Merry Wives of Windsor.
